What is Restylane?
Restylane is a dermal filler that is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Restylane replenishes the supply of hyaluronic acid in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a natural occurring substance in the skin which provides skin fullness and elasticity. Overtime, hyaluronic acid diminishes resulting in the appearance of wrinkles. Restylane restores hyaluronic acid and thus adds volume to the skin diminishing the appearance of wrinkles.
How does Restylane work?
Restylane is an injectable gel containing stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. Additional injects are needed every 6-12 months to maintain the increased volume in the skin and thus keeping the wrinkles from reappearing.
